Another Selvage Kindle Cover

I finally got the Kindle cover made for my sister Robin and put it in the mail to California today.

Here is is with my Kindle in it and from the back.

I changed it slightly from mine shown here.  On the first one, I sewed the selvages to batting and then added the lining.  On Robin’s I added a layer of fusible fleece to the lining before I put it together.  I also changed the flap from curves to the envelope style seen here.

In the box, there is another surprise for her.  Here is a preview of it just to drive her crazy while the post office does its job.

Hopefully it will be there by the end of the week.

  2. Woo Hoo! I can hardly wait. I'm guessing the red something is a red hat! I have no idea why that popped into my head but it did. :-)

  4. Robin is going to like this! I love that brown floral binding. And the graceful stem on the back. Nice job, Melinda! I'll be back to see what the red thingy is :)

  5. This is very cute. I have a whole bin of selvages as it's been awhile since I used any...makes me think of what new project I can make with them.
