Crazy Quilt Blocks from 1885 part 2

Here are the rest of the crazy quilt blocks that Michele received.

As you can see from the last block, they were made in 1885.  Even without the different initials on the blocks it is obvious that they were made by different people with different skill levels.  Some have simple embroidery on the seams and other have detailed designs, like the scary lady on the fifth block.

Also look at the different style of piecing.  Some have larger pieces of fabric and others have lots and lots of small pieces.

We can’t believe that the person who dropped them off didn’t want them but they certainly gave them to the right woman.  Michele was almost speechless yesterday and that is not a common occurrence – sorry Michele :)
