Beginning Quilting Class Update

I taught the third class of the Beginning Machine Piecing class. I forgot my camera for the night-time class but remembered it in the morning.

The lesson this month was log cabin blocks. Since this block has so many more seams, it is a challenge for many of the students.

Most of them are getting good at cutting and ironing but some are still struggling with the 1/4 inch seam. All of these blocks measure 6 1/2 inches so they are all great!

Next week we will work on half square triangles and will make friendship star blocks.
