Design Wall Monday–October 3, 2011

Today’s design wall is really my sofa in the living room.  At guild on Friday, I received a wonderful gift from the guild members for being Chair of the Quilt Show last month. Here is what was in the bag.

Those are all Kaffe fabrics in my favorite color scheme.  I am excited about what I might be able to do with these luscious fabrics.  I also got a pair of lime green slippers to wear in my retirement from show duties and a pair of quilting girl socks.  I always wear socks and the more unusual the better.  As I started to fold up the bag – opps forgot to take a photo of the bag – it is also Kaffe – to put in my car for grocery shopping, I found a tissue wrapped something in the large pocket.

This is what I found!

At first I thought it was Lucy – you may remember me talking about Lucy from the quilt show.  Here is the original Lucy.

Mine was made for me by Robin, the guild President.  I have to also name her Lucy but the name on the back is The Quilt Show Lady.  My husband thinks she looks like me and I am so pleased to have her.  She is hanging right by the front door so I can admire her every time I go through the front hall.  I can’t believe Robin made her for me and I absolutely LOVE her.
