I have a design bed this morning because it is too large for the design wall. I have the center of the NYD quilt finished and just need to add plain borders and piece the backs. Hopefully in the next couple of days.
I hope to get it quilted in the next two weeks – have a quilt on the machine and need to work on a couple other customer quilts before I can dedicate a day or two to this one.
For more design walls, go to Patchwork Times. Lots and lots of design walls there.

Love your colors!!! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I am building a bigger design wall because I realized the other day that the lack of a big one is part of the reason some large quilt UFOs aren't getting my attention. I know I might not always have the room, but while I do ... I should be taking advantage of it more. Now, if only I could win a long arm machine ...
ReplyDeleteThat is breathtaking! It's going to be a beauty when it is all quilted up! Congratulations on a wonderful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI'll be really interested in seeing how you quilt this. It's a beautiful quilt but it doesn't look like you.
ReplyDeleteWow-oh-wow! This is gorgeous -- and I adore the colors, Melinda! :)
ReplyDeleteLove!!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is wonderful! Two color quilts can be so effective!
ReplyDeleteHow big will this quilt be? I have a whole box of oranges that I have been collecting for a few years. You just 'jump-started" that project. The pattern I have been looking at has 6" blocks. I want to make it king size. Do you think I should make my blocks bigger?
