I can’t believe it is October! My design wall today will look familiar. I am almost done with adding flowers to my GFG. I have the last row to finish and I am done. I took it to the shop yesterday to explore possibilities for a background to applique it to. I really would like something non-traditional. I plan on using a solid color but haven’t found one that will work yet.
I tried red, black, blue, lime green, pink and white. I still have no idea what to choose but hope to try again later this week.
If you have any ideas, let me know.
For more design walls, go to Patchwork Times. I love seeing all the inspiration on Mondays.

What about a medium dark grey of some sort?
ReplyDeleteI like that periwinkle colour that I am drawn to...what a gorgeous garden!
ReplyDeleteHow about chocolate brown? This is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am always a fan of 'yellow' then you could do a small border of the blue and another of yellow. What ever you choose it will look great!
ReplyDeleteI am just starting to sew my flowers together, I have a long ways to go- lol
There are a lot of pretty things in the aqua family out there right now. One of them might work.
ReplyDeleteUntil you said you wanted a solid, I was going to suggest a Kaffe fabric which would have all those colors. I am not sure his designs would work with your hexies tho. The gray suggestion is another good one. What about the same yellow as your centers?
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of repeating the yellow of your centers.
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked at it, my first thought was also grey...a medium grey would be nice, I think! :)
