Yellow Brick Road meets Amy Butler

I finished piecing the Amy Butler quilt. This fabric line is called Daisy Chain and I used the Yellow Brick Road pattern. It is brighter in person than in this photo. It is hanging crooked because Bill's arms were tired from holding it up.

Now all I need to do is get it quilted and bound by the Shop Hop at the end of the month. I am busy today working on an applique quilt that I am custom quilting. Got about 1/2 of it quilted and should be able to finish it tomorrow after our guild meeting.

The program for guild tomorrow is a silent auction of Margaret's sewing stuff After she died, her family donated everything from her sewing room to the guild and we are selling it to members tomorrow.

Only 3 more days until the Red Top retreat!

  1. This is, by-far, the prettiest TBR I have ever seen. I'm going to a retreat this week and it makes me want to make one while there.

  2. I'm so tickled that I have stumbled across your blog. I was reading some of the post on the quilterblog.com page and clicked to read more on your post and when it read about the Alatoona guild I thought that's not very far up the road from me, how wonderful. I have never been to a guild meeting and have only been quilting for about 3 years and just absolutely love it. I'll have to take a day and run up to the Tiny stithces quilt shop. There aren't any shops near here. I would love to get involved in taking some of the classes and the guild meeting sound like so much fun. I'll be adding you to my blog list, I would love to meet other quilters in my area.
    Hugs Donna

  3. Isn't it amazing how the fabric choices can change a quilt look. Great fabric!
