Wacky Devine Nine

Here is another quilt top I have ready for Shop Hop if I can get it quilted. Once retreat is over, I will get busy quilting. Of course that means I will also have to bind. For some reason, sewing the binding on the front is my least favorite part of the whole process. I really like sewing the binding down by hand but I don't like the machine process.

I tried to find a brown fabric to use for the inner border and binding on this quilt but it is such an unusual shade of brown that I couldn't find a single bolt that matched. I finally ended up using the same green that I used on the Yellow Brick Road.

By the way, this pattern is one of my sisters and can be found here. It is a quick quilt to make and uses nine fat quarters, plus borders.

  1. Oh, I´ve found a "binding friend", your opinion about bindings is the same as mine. Beautiful colours!

  2. This is a gorgeous quilt. I am just a beginner but am loving the journey. I have only made 2 quilts and would be embarrassed for a "real quilter" to see but I hope to get better. I am trying anyway. This is my first visit with you and I love your blog.
