I finished two more stars for the BOM quilt this morning. They were made with the Tri-Rec ruler and were very easy to make. Once again, it took longer to cut them out than it did to sew them together.
Only two more star blocks to make before moving on to the feathered star for the center block. Once that gets done, it is ready to be sewn into a top. Of course, then I have to decide on a border. Tina made a scrappy red border for her quilt – I am thinking of using all my green scraps and doing that but first I have to get the feathered star done.
Here are a few feathered stars from other guild members quilts.
On to the Ohio stars before I have to face the feathered star!

ReplyDeleteHello Melinda, I just want to thank you for the beautiful pincushion that I won in your last giveaway. I like it very much and can't wait to use it. It will come in very handy.

The (lime) green - black combination looks just terrific! Looking forward to seeing the final quilt!
ReplyDeleteFeathered stars are just gorgeous, but are definitely not for the faint of heart. Loving your BOM blocks.
ReplyDeleteI am in a round robin row quilt group. I am thinking about doing stars...these would be cool for a quilt like that
