Gift from My Sister

Look what came in yesterday’s mail.  Sure beats bills!

Wonderful socks in my favorite neutral – lime green.  They are made with bamboo yarn and I am planning on wearing them today.  They feel great.

The right side is a beautiful batik.  Here is is open.

When it is closed it can be used as a small ironing surface.  When open, there is a sandpaper board which is so helpful for writing on fabric.  The other side has a cutting board.  What a great useful gift.  I assume Robin bought these at Road To California a couple of weeks ago.

Thank you Sis!

  3. Yup, Road to California. They both had your name on them and were calling to me as I walked by. Don't you just love the socks? They are unbelievably soft.

  4. I have one of those ironing/cutting boards and it is wonderful. I take it with me when travelling so I can cut, iron and sew. I bought mine from Cynthia England at a class I took from her. I think she makes them, but I'm not 100 % sure. Just a caution for you though, my cutting board warped from ironing with a hot iron on the reverse side. To prevent that I would recommend opening the board out flat and only ironing on the rough board side.

  6. I love socks and have never seen bamboo socks. You will need to write a review after wearing them.
