This is a table runner from last week’s guild special projects meeting. It is a disappearing nine patch using a charm pack. I have had this charm pack for a couple of years, along with a lot of yardage, a couple of fat quarter stacks, a layer cake and a couple more charm packs. The line is Authentic by Sweetwater and I fell in love with it when it first came out. While I bought lots of it, I didn’t have a particular project in mind and have had a hard time cutting into it. Foolish isn’t it that when we find something we love, we are reluctant to actually use it. I doubt I am the only person who does this, am I?
I need to move a few squares around and then get it sewn together. I can’t wait to complete it.

Great way to use a charm pack! I just designed a quilt to use a charm pack...so I appreciate this idea too.
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be so cute! I know what you mean about favorite fabrics.... I have the hardest time cutting into them. Internally, I'm saying, "Ok, is this quilt worthy of this fabric?" Silly, huh?!? If it's not "worthy", why am I making it!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the disappearing nine patch and I love the colors that you've chosen.
ReplyDeleteI just read how to do a Disappearing Nine Patch on another blog and after seeing your project I'm hooked. Very pretty fabric and now your stash is a little bit lighter, great job.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love! I have the same one, and feel the same way about using it! So silly!!
ReplyDeleteThese is a FUN project! Love the charm pack fabrics, too!
ReplyDeleteI love Sweetwater fabrics! I feel the same way about Tula Pink fabrics. Your disappearing 9 Patch looks great. Some times they look blotchy.
ReplyDeleteNope - I never buy fabric and then don't cut into it .... tee hee!! I so totally understand that.... but I am proud of you for doing it anyways! And a neat tablerunner!
