Here is the winner of my Fall Into Fall giveaway.
kakd2384 has left a new comment on your post "Fall into Fall":
I love fabric of any size, shape or color. I am currently finishing a throw for my sister, it is for Christmas. Am hoping to make wedding ring quilt next so these charms would be perfect.
Today is the day for the Fall into Fall giveaway. Debi is doing a great job of organizing this and I signed up to host a giveaway as soon as I read about it.
Here is what I am giving away -
This is a stack of nickel squares or 5 inch squares or charms, whichever you would like to call them. The stack is over 3 inches high and may even grow higher . You will be able to make a larger quilt or a couple of small ones using one of the many charm or nickel quilt patterns out there.
To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment on this post. As part of your comment, tell me what project you are wanting to start next. Be sure that I have a way to contact you. If you are a no-reply blogger, you need to leave your email address in your response. If I don’t have a way to contact you, I will not include your name in the drawing.
This is open to anyone, whether you have your own blog or not. I will also mail internationally so everyone is welcome, as long as I can contact you. I will draw the winner on October 15.
Good luck to everyone!
Melinda
I have wallets cut out for the girls for Christmas and a quilt for my grand daughter that needs quilting.
ReplyDeleteI really want to start my sweetie a quilt and the charms squares would be a great start.
Hello. I am currently working on my very first Christmas quilt, but I also have a value quilt cut out, it will not be too large, but the darks and lights have been a joy to work with. :o)
ReplyDeleteMy next quilt will be all pinks in a Bargello pattern. Hoping I can find a good size panel with the Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon to use the center.

Oh wow, what a great stack of nickels! I need to start on a baby quilt for my daughters good friend. She doesn't know what she is having yet, but the baby is due in a couple of weeks. Thanks for participating in the Fall into Fall giveaway. And thanks for entering me :-)
ReplyDeleteNickel squares are my favorite. I got our guild started on a challenge to sew one-seam flying geese from these squares. We've managed over 1500 geese so far!
ReplyDeletei'm not the quilter, but i know someone who would and this would be great for her. as for my own projects...I'm trying to finish up a story. and i need to scrapbook more.

ReplyDeleteI plan to start a lap quilt for my mother that we just moved into a nursing home. She is always cold so I'm sure she will be happy when I get it finished for her. The nickel squares will be great for this project.
ReplyDeleteI would love to make a few charity quilts before the holidays! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI hope to make a quilt for my niece!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!

I love charm squares (although I find it hard to actually USE them - I prefer to save and stash and fondle them, LOL) - I'd love to enter your giveaway, thank you!!
ReplyDeleteMy next project is going to be a Christmas Stocking I think!
ReplyDeleteI have so many projects to do, I don't know which one to start with. I think I will do something with my Civil War fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI am hand quilting lap quilts for each of our 3 SIL's. I almost have the first one done. The other two are pieced and sandwiched. So I will start hand quilting on #2. I did the hardest one first, so the other two should go quicker. Great giveaway. I love working with charm squares. Have a good day. Winona
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful stack of loveliness! :) Right now I'm working on a charity quilt (I'm so slow though...I'm ALWAYS working on it!) I am quilting my first twin size quilt for my daughter's bed. Once those are finished, I'll have more charity quilts to do, and I'd REALLY like to make a quilt for my sister for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a wonderful giveaway!
~Teresa
The next project I want to start. Hmmm. That would be Color Bridge by Elisa's Backporch Designs. It's a totally beautiful pattern. I just need to get all the fabric for it!
ReplyDeleteI have so many projects I want to start. I think the first one will be the Tokyo Subway Map quilt - Oh Fransson is leading a quilt along. Thanks for a chance at your giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy next quilt project must be a quilt for my 14 year old son. He likes to make baby quilts for any friends who have a baby and I quilt big quilts. He just said to me the other day that he is the only one in our family I have not made one for yet:( So I promised I would make him one before I make anyone else one.

P.S. I really enjoyed the post about the pillow case class. They all turned out so nice. Glad to find your blog!
Although I have two "WIP"s right now, the next project I am going to start is a quilted knitting needle holder for my sister (only makes sense since she is knitting me a pincushion, right?). The next QUILT I am starting is going to be a throw quilt made out of lovely blue, green, and purple batiks that I am DYING to cut into! Thanks for hosting this giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteI'm about to start a baby quilt for a friend! Great giveaway - thanks for the chance to participate! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, your knobs from India are GORGEOUS. Would run to the shop to buy them all, but I am living in France...... Love also the pillowcases, just had them on my blog this week. ReplyDeleteMicki
Happy autumn to you! I understand it's finally starting to cool down in GA. I've overloaded myself with projects right now but hope to wrap some of them up so I can start my first One Block Wonder!
ReplyDeleteGood morning! A tower of Charm, how cool! My next projects will be for Christmas -- 2 quilted gorgeous tote bags that I will be tempted to keep; and a full sized bed quilt in delicate pinks and green, pieced roses alternating with fussy cut rose motif fabric, for one of my favorite nieces. Plus I'm going to a quilt retreat in 2 weeks, where we will be making a Kaye Milligan quilt of Possibilities: batik pine trees. mary6850 at gmail.com
ReplyDeleteYou know I cannot resist scrap quilts! Somewhere in my sewing room is a much smaller version of that scrappy star quilt. I made it years ago and forgot all about it until I saw the post. Now I will have to dig it out. My next project is to finally get to work on the bandana quilt. It's going to be made from the map and pictorial bandanas from National Parks all over the country.
ReplyDeleteMichele
Morning, Melinda! I have a red and white kit that I'd love to begin. It's sitting there tempting me, but it will have to wait. I have a swap and some blocks to make for the Gwinnett Guild. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I guess the project I want to start next is a baby blanket for the new little niece or nephew that is coming to join our family next spring... But, until I find out what they want to do about the nursery, I suppose the next project I WILL start is probably going to be something Christmas-y.
ReplyDeleteI'll be starting a charity quilt today for a little girl. I have her favorite colors and likes, so I'm ready to go. Hope to have it pieced this weekend.
ReplyDeleteSuper cool! I want to make a quilt for myself. I am always giving away quilts. These would help warm ME up!
ReplyDeleteVery nice give away! My next project is a quilted bag. And I am joining a candle mat swap, so I am going to make a candle mat.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I absolutely love working with nickels, but I sure don't need anymore fabric to have to report on my stash busting! lol
ReplyDeleteI really need to get started on quilting a quilt for a friend. I hope to get that started today! Wish me luck! lol
Wow! I love 5" squares already cut for me. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. Happy quilting.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a nice stack of charms. I make charity quilts so this would be a quick way to put them together, already cut out. I have a jelly roll that's been waiting for me to start a star quilt, but I have so many UFO's I'm trying to finish up first. Thanks for the chance and Happy Blog Hopping!
ReplyDeleteMy next project is to complete a Charlotte Angotti Mystery quilt I started at the 2009 Houston Quilt Festival. My husband loves the colors and wants the quilt as a trade out for the comforter on our bed cwhippc@aol.com
ReplyDeleteHy!, a very good idea!
ReplyDeleteMy next project is "tapetes a crochet" for christmas and a lot of SAL ...
What a stack of fabric! I guess I would use them for several smaller baby quilts - they are easier to finish for me and don't become UFO's... and make great gifts & charity quilts. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the generous giveaway! Your stack of fabric is wonderful! I envision sewing them up for a quilt, I just love quilts so much.
ReplyDeleteUp next project is to make a quilt for my 6 yr old daughter. She picked out the fabrics for the top so far. She'll get to watch me make it and help where she can, then enjoy it this winter!
Happy fall!
Blessings, Jessica
I love scrap quilts. THose squares can be used in a zillion ways and thanks for the idea in your next post.
ReplyDeleteMy next project I'm hoping to start (inbetween christmas projects) is a spiderweb quilt to use up selvages and strings. Someone sent me an envelope of selvages last month and I'm anxious to put them to use! thanks for participating in this hop!
hi there thanx for hosting fab prize!! I plan to finnish my quilt then move on to some crocheted ricrac!!
ReplyDeleteHI. I'm currently working through a long list of gifts I'm making for Christmas. Without giving too much away I have just finished basting quilt number one - number two is an applique so the blocks are getting done gradually - number three is a quilt for my sister-in law and I guess the next thing on my list to start. Loving the blog. Thanks Caroline

ReplyDeleteYour 'scrap' quilt is stunning. What a great giveaway idea to have all the squares already cut for the winner. Tnank you.
ReplyDeleteI would really like to get started on my project modern challenge. It keeps getting pushed off.
ReplyDeleteWinning your bundle of squares would be fun-it's like having another quilter choose fabrics for me. I keep scraps of all sizes (and selvages). My next project will be either shoofly blocks made in the liberated style, or I'll experiment with a small liberated medallion style wall quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for sharing your fabrics.
I want to make a tote bag next. Thanks for the charms giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this lovely giveaway! We are planning to start our Christmas projects...

ReplyDeleteCurrently I am working on finishing up a king quilt made from men’s shirts. Once this quilt is finished I plan to make my daughter a quilt from ladies blouses in various shades of pink.
ReplyDeleteI have already made several charm quilts from these 5 inch squares. I think the next template shape that I would like to use is the flag template for another lap quilt.
ReplyDeleteNext project? I have a number of things on the make for Christmas List. I work with victims of violence who are on welfare and am making a number of items to give to them at the end of the year. i need to get on that Calendar for my mom too.
ReplyDeleteI have not done any quilt yet, but hope to sign up for a class soon. I'm collecting fabrics now, though more for my fabric ATCs and dotee dolls. Thanks for a great giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI have just figured out what charm squares are! I began quilting as a child and back then we cut out everything by hand...no short cuts! I stopped quilting after my kids were born and am just getting back into it and finding that sooooo much has changed! About 16 years ago a dear old friend gave me a stack of 5" gingham squares she had cut out by hand and had no use for. I have been saving them because I didn't know what to do with them! Adding some lovely patterned pieces with all the new ideas out there would be a lovely way to start back into quilting! Thanks for the giveaway!
