I didn’t get photos of all the How Does Your Garden Grow quilts that were in progress but here are quite a few.
Lots of different fabric choices but they are all looking great. I can’t wait to see the appliqué on them. Speaking of appliqué, here is my quilt top with a few of the charm squares I am thinking of using for my quilt.
Here is a photo of one of the meal tables, at lunch yesterday.
See all the placemats? Since this was a Going Green theme, each of us had a placemat in our goodie bag. They have two pockets on them, one for silverware and one for a napkin. We brought our own plates, bowls, glasses and silverware. After the meal service, we washed our own plates, rolled up our placemat and we were ready for the next meal. It worked out so great that we are thinking of of doing this for all our meetings.
This next photo is of Jim Warf from Decherd Needleworks in Tennessee. He came on Saturday at lunch time and brought fat quarters to sell. After all our expenses for the retreat, we were able to give each person there a $15 shopping spree. Of course, most of them spent much more.
We had a great time but I am glad I am home.

ReplyDeleteSo, who made all the placemats? Great idea.
ReplyDeleteYou girls all seem to have so much fun, I wish there was something like that where I live.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilts, I like them all, but most especially the bright ones.
LOVE the placemats idea, too. Wouldn't they be great gift for people who go to a lot of potlucks or even tucked into a picnic basket? Great, fun, nifty idea!
I love these quilts. Is this a pattern?
