My design wall was empty this morning so I got out my March UFO and put the blocks up on it. I am behind on my UFOs but have January and February quilt tops done and waiting to be quilted. Check out other design walls at Judy’s blog.
I have been trying to figure out how to set them. Debbie had a magazine clipping a couple of weeks ago that showed a setting that was a large churn dash. I have been playing on paper with this idea and think I have it figured out. I need to make many more blocks. I am working at the Sewing and Quilt Expo for 3 days this week and I will be staying near there at a hotel. I am planning on taking my sewing machine and working on this project in the evening.
If anyone is going to the Expo, stop by the Tiny Stitches booth and say hello. I will be there the whole time and would love to meet you.

I love your churn dash blocks, my favorite is the lime green! Have fun at the quilt expo.

I'm a big churn dash block fan too -- yours is lots of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are feeling a similar vibe!
ReplyDeleteIt is looking very nice. I take it you have all 20 blocks?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know where you got the fabric for your design wall. Is it pre-printed flannel? Thanks!
