Design Wall Monday–May 14, 2012

Well, I have more spool blocks completed.  Still have 9 more to make – 5 for the swap and 3 more for my friends.  The extra 3 are going to be selvage thread.

I also finished up the Vintage Modern Double Slice quilt and took it to the shop.

I also picked up two new quilts to make for the shop.  First is a new Halloween layer cake and I am going to make another Double Slice quilt.  Then I have a jelly roll of Urban Cowgirl to make a jelly roll race quilt.

  3. I love your quilting! Nice blocks, too. I think that swirls looks wonderful on so many quilts and it adds a great texture and dimension.

  6. Oooo I just love spool blocks!!! That sounds like a fun exchange! I'm intrigued with the idea of selvage spools and can't wait to see what that is. And that is a pretty interesting star block to the left of the spools - love the colors and the design!
