Quilt Show Meeting

After getting home last night around 9, I had a lot of trouble sleeping.  At least I got some fabric folded in my sewing room in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep.

This morning was our monthly quilt show meeting.  We had a good meeting and I went out to lunch with my good friends. We were able to get caught up on all the happenings from the time I was out West.

For a photo today, I thought I would show the raffle quilt that we are giving away at our Quilt Show in September.  Tickets are only a dollar each and you can contact me if you want to purchase some.

2011 East Cobb Quilters Guild

This quilt is made by the members of the guild and quilted by the talented Bella Bamert.  It is based on Dear Hannah by Brenda Papadakis.  Brenda kindly gave us permission to use her patterns as the basis of our raffle quilt.

  1. When is your quilt show? you never know when I might decide on a road trip.

  2. I won't be able to attend your meeting in September for the givewaway (I work in Budget for Uncle Sam, and that's our busiest time of the year), but would like to participate in the givewaway. Can you contact me and let me know how to buy some raffle tickets? Thanks!

  3. I love this. Did you have all the fabric from the get-go or did members get background and make this using fabric they had? Our Guild the Maple Leaf Quilters' Guild of Rutland, Vt is coming up with ideas for our 2016 Raffle Quilt and I thought a sample would be nice but not sure how to set it up. If we use a book we will need to have copyright permission. The fabric could be a hassle. It would be nice for all or most members to do a block. Any suggestions?
