Design Wall Monday–May 2, 2011

Not much on my design wall today.  My little paper pieced kaleidoscope blocks are on the left.  On the right is my 12x12 for the 15 Minute Play swap.

For the swap, I started with a 10 inch square of a bright Kaffe print.  I then sliced it, added a strip of batik and turned it 90 degrees.  I then sliced it, added another strip of batik and so on.  Once it got large enough, I squared it up and cut it in 4 pieces.  I then put in the yellow batik, squared it up to 12 inches and called it done.  I layered it with backing and batting and quilted using a curvy stich on my machine.  Need to bind it and get it on the way to it’s new owner.  I like how it turned out.
