UFO Finished–Watermelon Quilt

A couple of years ago my sister and I made watermelon quilts while in Las Vegas.  It was one of my many UFOs but it is done now.

As you can see, it is a very simple quilt.  Just large rectangles of three fabrics.  It would be a great picnic quilt – if I every went on a picnic.

Here are a couple of close up photos of the quilting.

I quilted it with a simple allover feather design.

  1. I LOVE it!! Simple, but just charming-- and yes, perfect for a picnic!! If you are experiencing the same winter we are here in CT (I'll have to check your profile info), then have a picnic in the house!! Or if you're stuck home with kids, they can make a fort!!

  2. I love it. I am very partial to quilts that showcase the fabric and this certainly does. What a fun quilt.
