Wonky Log Cabin Block

I am teaching for the Atlanta Modern Quilt Guild later this month.  The topic is Wonky Log Cabin blocks.

I am making sample blocks for the class and here is the first one.  I am using a fat quarter pack of Make Life by Moda.

I am planning on making different blocks and this one is a standard (wonky) log cabin.  I am looking forward to this class.

  2. The first modern quilt top I did (am still doing, ahem!) was a wonky log cabin. I really really loved the process of making each block individually and seeing the whole thing come together.
It's a fun design to use, and a great way to use up some stash, or to do a color-coordinated quilt.
    Good luck teaching it!

  5. Glad to see you've come to the "wonky side"! *evil laugh* Better watch out - it can become addictive!
