The pattern I used is called Simply Squares. You sew the charms together in a straight set and then two cuts are made, sewing the pieces back together and resulting in a quilt set on point.
I quilted the quilt with a panto called Rosie and used cotton thread in a wonderful color called Latte. It was wonderful to do a quick quilting project after having the raffle quilt on my machine for such a long time - about five weeks.
The quilt is gorgeous! A great way of using those squares...now if I could only find mine! LOL
ReplyDeleteNo..I am not touching UFO's for awhile, I am working on brand new quilts, but starting and finishing!
LOL

Your quilting is beautiful.. and that raffle quilt is stunning! I am floored by the quilt itself and by your fantastic quilting!!! Are raffle tickets available somewhere?
ReplyDeleteYou do such nice quilting!! The guild quilt is beautiful (applique is my "thing") .... you did a great job quilting it! Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteYour "Simply Squares" quilt is pretty. I like the fabrics and the quilting. I didn't see the rambling rose charm packs when I was in Tiny Stitches last Thursday. I was looking for charm packs just because I like them. I did get fabric for the borders for the Santas and Snowmen top I worked on at retreat.
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty for such a simple pattern and I like the idea of piecing it in a straight set and ending up with it on point. Where did you find the pattern? I'd like to read about the technique.
