I finally finished my Swoon blocks. They are so large I had to use two design walls at the shop. Here is the final arrangement – maybe.
Next I need to add sashing and then the small scrappy border.
I made a few more Kaffe houses. Up to 16 now.
It certainly is going to be a fun neighborhood.
I spent two entire days last week sending out acceptance letters for the East Cobb Quilt Show. We had such a great turnout for our call for quilts and I ended up sending 300+ emails. At least that part of the job is over.
For more design walls, go to Patchwork Times.

I think I've been nipped by the Swoon bug. I copied the block pattern a few days ago. It's sitting next to the cutting table....Your blocks are very nice. What really caught my eye are those houses! They're deliciously bright!
ReplyDeleteYour swoon blocks are fantastic! I am totally digging the light blue and black - reminds me of The Wizard of Oz for some reason (Dorothy's dress and Toto? No idea where that thought came from!)
ReplyDeleteI also love your house blocks. I love houses and keep trying to get my bee group to do a group quilt of houses. I will have to show them your picture for inspiration!
I bought the Swoon pattern when it came out and have yet to make it, love yours!
ReplyDeleteLove you houses. They are so happy.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! You've finished your swoon blocks. Personally, I could arrange and rearrange those 9 blocks endlessly. I love the fabrics you've used–you can already tell it's going to be a great quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove both the quilts. I would say you have a loud neighborhood but a fun one.
