We bought a new sofa today. I would show a photo of it but it is still out on the truck. Max (the Yorkie) is getting old and several times recently he has been up in the middle of the night. I give him a drink and sometimes he will go back to sleep but sometimes he simply lays there and cries/whimpers. When this happens I end up taking him outside and end up on the sofa, while he eventually goes back to sleep in his little dog bed. Our current sofa is really a loveseat and not long enough to be comfortable on. Hopefully the new one will be comfortable if I have to spend the night on it.
Even better, hopefully he will sleep all night. Actually, he has stayed in bed all night for the past two nights. Wish me luck that this continues.

Oooooohh, I remember when that started happening to my Lily and my Bailey. I got up often in the middle of the night with them. Bailey was both deaf and blind in the end. Lily had diabetes and her eyesight was very bad in the dark, which meant lighting up the house and waking up big time. We do what we do don't we?
