We had a wonderful class this morning. First we always show the homework blocks which were the log cabin blocks.
Next we started working on friendship stars which include half square triangles. Half square triangles are such an important thing to learn since so many projects require them. The simple friendship star is a great way to learn. I have them cut squares slightly large, draw a line down the center of the block and sew on each side. We then cut them apart, press them and then trim them to size. It is so much easier than using the 7/8 rule.
Like how great their stars turned out.
