Red Top Retreat–Day One

Today was the first day of the retreat.  The theme of it is Curvy Road to Las Vegas.  Here is the eating area all decorated.

Part of the sewing area.

We have 52 women at the retreat.  One of the little contests we have is to make a name tag.  Here are two of the winners.

This is the feature quilt that many of the group are making.

I taught a few small classes today on curved piecing.  I got all my curved pieces done today – need to work on the half square triangles tomorrow.

This quilt is going to be given away during cleanup on Saturday afternoon.  Here is another quilt that is going to be given away during the retreat.

Here are the goodie bags before they were given out.  I will take a photo tomorrow of my up close.  They are really great!

In my spare time, I got the borders on the shop hop quilt.  Here it is all ready for quilting.

  4. I am jealous! Now I am chomping at the bit for our guild's retreat at Charlie Elliott in Mansfield, GA, in May. Can I wait that long? Hmmm....

  7. Looks like a wonderful retreat. Our retreat was last week also and before we left on Sunday, it was decided that next years theme is Spring Break in Vegas....and I haven't even ready any blogs since before the retreat. I would love to know what pattern you used for the goodie bags.
