Getting closer to having my list of eight UFOs ready. Here are numbers 4, 5 and 6.
Number 4 – This is a quilt from more than 10 years ago. It was a Bag Lady kit and is almost finished. Somehow some of the rail fence blocks got sewn on incorrectly and I had to take some of the blocks apart. It still needs to have a couple of rows added at the end, and a few blocks turned in the last two rows that were already sewn to the quilt. I have the borders in the box with the quilt pieces so think I will just need to find a back, get it quilted and bound.
Number 5 – This is an accidental variation of the double slice pattern by Missouri Star quilt shop. I did it from memory and my memory wasn’t working that day. Anyway, I still like it and know I have some of the black scissor fabric around for border or binding. I need to look for it and put it with the quilt top.
Number 6 – This green and brown quilt was made as a shop sample several years ago and hung in the shop off and on for quite a while. I think the binding is already made so I guess I will go on another treasure hunt and attempt to locate it. As I remember the binding is the diagonal stripe.
OK - only two more UFOs to find and commit to. One will be the Halloween OBW. The bad tension quilting still needs to be taken out and redone. Not my favorite thing to do but it needs to be done.
That leaves one more to decide on. I will go looking and see if I can decide on which one to do.

Looks like you have some happy mistakes. Good luck finding that binding. I've had one missing for over 5 years...I'm beginning to think it was trashed by accident due to my great organization skills in the studio ;)
ReplyDeleteAll gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI loved doing the Bag Lady quilts. They always made nice gifts - when I managed to finish! Good luck finding the binding. I'm still looking for three wool appliqué blocks that I lost about a year ago.
