This is my first design wall post in a few weeks. On the wall today is a project from Las Vegas that only needs two borders to be added. The pattern is called Mexican Star and was taught by my sister at the retreat. After adding the borders, there are many triangles of fabric that need to be sewn down (kind of like a Cathedral Window) and then it will be ready to quilt.
Here is a light version of the same quilt – interesting how different it looks. This one is not mine but I think it belongs to Caroline.
On this version you can see the loose triangles better. They will get turned back and top stitched before quilting.
Fun pattern and since it makes a small quilt, not a big investment in time.
