In Las Vegas

A few days ago I posted a photo of the travel pillow I made for Emilio.  Here he is with it and two small pillows that he made himself.  He is quite taken with sewing and wanted to make these pillows so Robin cut them out for him and he sewed them by hand using perle cotton.  He then stuffed them and closed them up – happy little kid.

Next is a photo we took on the way to Las Vegas yesterday.  It was about 5:30 in the afternoon when we stopped for shakes at the Mad Greek in Baker.

Can you read the temperature?  114 degrees – that is hot.

Actually according to the TV weatherman here, it is supposed to get hotter as the week goes on.  Not 114 but 107 or so.

We are going out to brunch at a restaurant John likes – Peppermill Coffee Shop.  We will then drop off John at the Rio where the World Series of Poker is going on and probably head off to a quilt shop or two.  Knowing us, we will also go to Wal-Mart. Exciting, isn’t it.
