Here are the blocks so far! We started the last two blocks Wednesday night – Snail’s Trail and Card Trick. Next week we will start putting the tops together.
Here is a finished beginning quilt that was brought to class.
She also brought a baby quilt she made – I love this one.
I think I need a doggie quilt.

We had a small showing at Hexie Club. It was very cold and many of the group decided to stay home and stay warm. Can’t say that I blame them. It was cold!
Here are a couple of projects being worked on.

Here are the blocks from the Monday night class. We worked on Flying Geese and will start putting the quilt tops together next week.

On Saturday we had a One Block Wonder class. There were 10 students in the class with very different fabrics being used. Two people were using panels while the others were using yardage.
Here are the blocks.
I can’t wait to see the finished quilts.

Thought I would share a few recent photos of Susie. It is hard to believe we have only had her for a couple of months. She is certainly a major part of the family already.
We love her and she loves us!

Four of us went to Cooks Warehouse for a class last night. It was a lot of fun and tasted great!
Not shown was a great salad and dessert made from noodles – Yum! We all worked on making the dishes and then shared a wonderful dinner.

Last night was the fifth class for Sampler Savvy. We worked on drunkards path and dresden plate blocks. Here is the homework so far.
Also, my sample quilt is hanging in the classroom so I took a photo of it.
Every time I see it, I love the texture of the quilting!

Here are the blocks that were shared yesterday during our BOM meeting at the Allatoona Quilters’ Guild. Afterwards we went out for wonderful Mexican food – what a nice day out with friends.
What a colorful neighborhood we are making.

Great class last night – we worked on log cabin and courtyard steps blocks. Here is the homework from the previous weeks.

Here are my Allatoona Block of the Month blocks for January and February.
The one with the little squares (36 of them finishing at 6 inches) is the February block. As you can see, I am using Kaffe for the house blocks and then polka dots for the rest of the house. I love the background. I don’t even remember when I bought it but I am glad I found it while sorting through my stash.
Tomorrow is BOM day at guild so hopefully I will have a lot more photos to share.

Here are all the February blocks for Saturday Sampler. We are working on 3 solids quilts with white, grey and black backgrounds. We are also finishing up on the Out of the Box quilts with Kaffe, Blue and Yellow and Bonnie and Camille. There was an extra block for each of these quilts this month which is the bottom row.
I cut the Kaffe blocks and the solids – lots and lots of blocks cut!

We had another good class on Wednesday. We worked on sewing together our hexies into a flower and they will try to complete that this week. Here is the progress so far.
One student was away on vacation but should be back next week. This is fun!
